FOUR MAIN REASONS WHY WOMEN LOSE INTEREST IN SEX

Sex is the most common emotional activity that connects lovers, couples or partners together. In spite of its great importance in solidifying relationships through the intimatemedlandz_10 share of love, passion, and mutual respect, women, sometimes, tend to lose interest in sex. They either have it infrequently or absolutely deny their partners of it.

There are four main reasons why women suddenly experience low sex drive:

Psychological issues: Low sex drive can occur in women due to any of the following psychological problems:

  • Past experiences of sexual abuse
  • Low self-esteem and poor body image
  • Mental health issues like depression and anxiety

Physical matters: Women may demonstrate acute dislike for sex if there are some physiological developments in them as well as some physical changes. For examples, women tend to avoid sex if:

  • They have had previous painful sexual experiences or unable to reach climax with their sex partner. In that case, sex is seen as a hassle and not a pleasurable activity.
  • Women who have had some diseases, even though they are non-sexual, may retract from having sex.
  • Some prescription medications such as antidepressants and anti-seizure drugs can kill women’s desire to engage in sexual activity.
  • Lifestyle change, fatigue, and discomfort from past surgeries may scare women away from having sex.

Relationship problems: A problematic relationship and poor communication between partners can make it difficult for one of them to show genuine interest in sex. Women, in particular, flourish sexually in circumstances when:

  • There’s real emotional connection with her spouse or partner
  • There is no case of cheating or infidelity
  • She is respected and given some considerations as far as her needs are concerned
  • All disagreements and quarrels have been amicably resolved

Changes in hormones: When women experience changes in their hormones, they may partly or completely lose interest in sex. Take for instance, menopause, breastfeeding, and pregnancy may make women hate sex temporarily or permanently.
